Lightning Learning Program Terms and Conditions
Welcome to the Lightning Learning Program. Please carefully read the following terms and conditions, which govern your participation in the program. By enrolling in the program, you agree to these terms.
1. Program Overview
The Lightning Learning Program is designed to provide targeted reading instruction with a guarantee of one year of growth in the pupilโs area of greatest need within two weeks of service. The program consists of 90-minute sessions, delivered via Zoom, five days per week for two consecutive weeks.
2. Eligibility and Placement Testing
- Placement Testing: Before enrollment in the Lightning Learning Program, all pupils must complete a placement test to determine eligibility and their area of greatest need.
- Deposit for Placement Testing: A deposit of 20% of the total program fee is required prior to placement testing. If a family chooses not to enroll after testing, half of this deposit (10%) will be refunded.
- Determination of Eligibility: The Company will assess test results to determine whether the pupil qualifies for the Lightning Learning Program and to identify their area of greatest need. The decision regarding eligibility and placement is final.
3. Group Structure and Delivery
- Group Size: Groups will generally consist of multiple pupils, with the specific number depending on alignment of needs, enrollment, and scheduling.
- Zoom Sessions: All sessions will be delivered online via Zoom. It is the responsibility of the pupil and their family to ensure that the pupil has access to the necessary technology and a stable internet connection to participate in the sessions.
- Interactive Learning: Sessions are designed to be interactive, with pupils working collaboratively with their tutor and peers.
4. Attendance Requirements
- Mandatory Attendance: Pupils must attend all sessions in full from start to finish. Missing a session, arriving late, or leaving early will void the learning guarantee.
- Program Continuation: If the guarantee is voided due to attendance issues, the pupil may still continue attending the remaining sessions, but the learning guarantee will no longer apply.
5. Learning Guarantee
- Growth Guarantee: The Lightning Learning Program guarantees that participating pupils will achieve one year of growth in their area of greatest need in reading within two weeks of service, provided the attendance requirements are fully met.
- Voiding of Guarantee: If a pupil misses any session, arrives late, or leaves early, the guarantee is voided. The pupil may continue attending the program but without the benefit of the guarantee.
6. Alternative Program Offerings
- Alternative Program Placement: If a pupil is deemed ineligible for the Lightning Learning Program based on placement testing, the Company may offer placement in an alternative program that better suits the pupil’s needs, subject to availability of such a program and space within it.
7. Program Fees and Payments
- Total Program Fee: The total cost of the Lightning Learning Program is $25,000.
- Deposit Payment: A 20% deposit ($5,000) is required before placement testing. If the pupil does not qualify for the program or if the family declines the offered services after testing, 50% of this deposit ($2,500) will be refunded.
- Remaining Balance: The remaining balance of $20,000 must be paid in full prior to the program start date.
8. Program Cancellations and Rescheduling
- Company Cancellations: In the event that the Company must cancel or reschedule any session, an alternative time will be offered, and the guarantee will remain intact.
- Client Cancellations: If a pupil is unable to attend a session, the session will not be rescheduled, and the learning guarantee will be voided. No refunds or discounts will be provided for missed sessions.
9. Refund Policy
- Testing Deposit Refund: As mentioned in Section 2, 50% of the deposit (10% of the total program fee) will be refunded if the family declines services after testing.
- Non-Refundable Fees: Once the pupil begins the program, all fees are non-refundable, except in cases where the Company cancels services.
- Learning Guarantee: In the event that one of our pupils does not make the stipulated amount of progress during their program, the family will be refunded the entirety of their program fee, less the amount of the testing fee (10% of the total program fee).
10. Program Modifications
The Company reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Lightning Learning Program at any time. In the event of significant changes, families will be notified, and existing program participants will be allowed to complete the current program under the terms they initially agreed upon.
11. Limitation of Liability
The Company will not be liable for any failure to meet the growth guarantee if the attendance requirements are not met or if external factors (such as technological issues on the clientโs end) hinder participation in Zoom sessions.
